In what observers are calling a defining moment for biographical filmmaking, director Antoine Fuqua's highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic has achieved the seemingly impossible task of creating a feature-length film about the King of Pop without referencing a single potentially problematic aspect of his life or career.
According to multiple people familiar with the matter, the film dedicates approximately 47 minutes to various moonwalk sequences, 23 minutes to close-ups of sequined clothing, and 31 minutes to scenes of Jackson saying 'hee-hee' in different emotional contexts. Sources close to the production confirmed that the screenplay underwent 847 revisions to ensure maximum controversy-avoidance, with writers reportedly using a complex algorithm to identify and eliminate any potentially spicy content.
'We're absolutely living for this no-tea-spilled approach,' said Dr. Miranda Glossworth, Professor of Selective Memory Studies at the Institute for Convenient Narratives. 'It's giving pure vibes-only energy, and honestly? We're here for it. The film courageously asks the hard-hitting questions, like 'What if Michael Jackson was just a guy who really liked to dance and wear one glove?''
The biopic, starring Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson, has been praised by industry insiders for its innovative 'ignorance is bliss' storytelling technique. When reached for comment, Fuqua simply stated, 'Sometimes the most important stories are the ones where nothing important happens at all.'
