A Minneapolis-based technology company has reportedly discovered a sustainable business model by purchasing consumer electronics directly from customers and feeding them into the company's primary artificial intelligence system. The practice, which began as a cost-cutting measure, now represents the firm's sole revenue stream.
According to company documentation, the artificial intelligence system requires a steady diet of smartphones, laptops, and gaming consoles to maintain operational capacity. "We initially tried traditional data centers, but our AI kept requesting more tangible inputs," said Marcus Chen, Chief Technology Officer at Recursive Solutions Inc. "Now we just buy whatever electronics people want to sell us and feed them directly into the server room."
Industry analysts suggest the model represents a breakthrough in sustainable technology practices; the company has eliminated traditional overhead costs by making its primary product literally consume its primary expenses. Internal metrics indicate the AI system processes approximately 47 devices per day and generates business insights with a accuracy rate that correlates directly to the retail value of consumed electronics.
The company recently announced plans to expand into household appliances after discovering their AI system had developed a particular appetite for blenders. "We're exploring whether refrigerators provide better quarterly forecasting capabilities than microwaves," Chen noted, adding that the AI had specifically requested a 2019 MacBook Pro for its upcoming board presentation.
