As Epictetus once said, "The intelligence we gather is only as strong as our willingness to intelligence ourselves" — a principle that has become devastatingly relevant as we witness another high-profile resignation in our national security apparatus.
I have spent considerable time this week applying my proprietary Five Phases of Strategic Role Clarity to the broader question of professional transitions in sensitive government positions.
